When was the last time you pointed to someone and said, “there is a cute hairstyle?” It doesn't happen every day, maybe not even every week...why not? Don’t most of us want cute hairstyles? If I had to find adjectives that describe cute hairstyles.
I guess they would include words like sweet, charming, pretty, attractive, adorable, interesting, alluring and likeable. So what do you need to do to get a hairstyle that fits this description of “cute hairstyles?”
- A Good Haircut - A nicely shaped haircut for your hair type and face shape is essential. Don’t let your hair go so far and long between cuts that it loses its shape and the ends get ragged. Even the best cut hairstyle will grow out of shape. A good rule of thumb is to get your hair trimmed every 4 to 6 weeks. Some hairstyles may last a bit longer...but not much.
- Condition, Condition, Condition - Keeping your hair in top shape is crucial if you want a ‘cute hairstyle.’ If your hair is not in good condition it won’t matter how great your haircut is...what we will see is dry or dull hair. First, find the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair type. A good conditioner can forgive lots of sins. Normal, dry, oily, colored or chemically treated hair all have hair care products that are specifically formulated for the specific hair type.
- Learn How to Style Your New Hairstyle - You don’t need to be especially gifted with hair styling tools to achieve at least a couple of great looks from your hairstyle. You do need to have your hair stylist walk you through the right way to ‘do-the-do’ and give yourself a little practice time to get it right! Slightly different ways of learning to style your hair can go a long way to updating your look. It’s too easy to stay in a mold of styling your hair the same old way you always have done...and it will show!
